You and I have parents somewhere in this world or perhaps they have passed on, we might be parents ourselves, but what made us want to be parents? 
Did you just decide one day, hey I'd like to be a parent? 
Once you know you are going to be a parent, there is planning, and hoping, and wishing. Those of us that desire children, but our bodies have other plans experience an emotional up and down.

This is a sweet, colorful, book about two elephants that plan for their child. They learn, prepare, and wish for the baby to be with them. The wishing stops when they learn the baby was not meant to be with them.  After the loss, they don't plan, They don't wish, they just go on about their two lives together.



They try again for beginning their family. This time there is movement, there is hope, there is the wish, the wish a baby was there with them. The couple readies for the baby, and this time the wish is here. 

Matthew Cordell's story is one of his own, Waiting for a wish the first time, but that was not to be. The second time for the wish to come true happens, and the family is so happy. Cherish your children.

This Father's day share this book with a parent or parent to be. Remind yourself to remember your wish for children and love them to pieces, as the saying goes.
