In this merry month of December the thought of animals out in the cold dark night lends itself to a prayer. The film shows us the why and how Donna Lawrence found inspiration to helps abused animals. She was attacked by an abused dog she tried to care for, and then, during her healing days, on a walk with a friend they discover a severely abused pit bull-mix puppy that was left for dead in the park. She brought the puppy to the animal hospital, and with funds raised from the community the dog receives intensive treatment and therapy.  Donna and the puppy heal and forgive as they recover.
