Happy Saint Valentine's Day Weekend!
This weekend is  one of gifts and candy and dinners out with loved ones.  People will become engaged, receive special jewelry and heart shaped boxes of candy. Children will exchange cards and candy on February 14 in classrooms.   What are your plans for the Holiday weekend?  What makes Valentine's Day a holiday?  Is it a holiday? 
It is not a National Holiday where the majority of the working world has the day off, or schools are closed, so why is this day one to be recognized?  Saint Valentine is the patron saint of Love.  His history is in Rome and there are varying stories to be found in books and web searches.  His belief in Christianity and love has brought us to a day we remember him and show love for one and another.
