A tad bit of blog history:  I wrote the first post in 2010. I have written 1000 plus posts since then.  My children were in high school and college at the time, so I was looking for a change up from; home room mom, errand runner, treat bag assembler, and brownie maker.  My thought was to write about all the odds and ends that landed on our kitchen table - besides meals. Stuff like new finds, coupon deals, reviews, giveaways, local events, and such. I like to find new products in stores and share the fun.  This blog's focus has come to the end of it's rainbow. I'll be looking in that pot of gold for a new focus here. My blog is still here, and I'd like to focus on other topics now. What topics those are is somewhere over the rainbow. I'll be seeing you on social media and reading your great blogs. I'm still on all my social media accounts, so I not going anywhere!  I've learned so much about blogging, myself, my friends, my family, and of course social media.

Super Bowl Sunday is February 7, 2016 and that usually means a trip to the grocery store before hand to stock up on party foods. On Tuesday, night as old man winter settled in for the night, I was snuggled comfy in a packed theater for the film screening of: 13 Hours, The secret Soldiers of Benghazi Rated R 2 Hours 24 Minutes run time Cast: Playing the role of the real life military:  John Krasinski, Max Martini, James Badge Dale, Pablo Schreiber, Toby Stephens So, how was it?  The film is intense, realistic, emotional, historical, factual, courageous, faithful, and heart pounding. This film is a true story . The beginning of the film tells you that as well as introduces the actual elite soldiers on security detail in Benghazi. During their stay they encountered a rebel invasion. 13 Hours of intense fighting. Six men, 13 hours, without American Military Support. (Stand down orders were given) Six men fought back.  For you, for me, because that's who they are and what they do.  In a theater with every seat filled, we did not laugh or say wow's out loud, perhaps there were more tears than each of us knew.
