Find the just right costume from JustKidsCostumes.com

Dressing up for Halloween is fun, choosing the costume, is not always fun. I ask my kids well in advance of Halloween what they want to dress up like. We shop the party stores, the big department stores, and leave empty handed. Tough decisions to make!  There is an easier way!  The Dressing Room App.  Up load your child's photo, choose a costume from their web site, and view the costume on your child. Skip the tug of war with changing, the tired kids, and too many I wants. From superheros to Disney Princesses, to their favorite character and cute little ladybugs the selection is over 3,000 costumes and accessories age appropriate for young children. You can skip the scary costumes mixed in with the children's costumes you find in stores. Some of those even scare me. Visit JustKidsCostumes.com , view the selection and when you are ready to check out use code BLOGGER10 to get 10% off your order. Disclosure: by writing this post I am entered into a contest from MomSelect. The comm

Gold Medal® White Whole Wheat Flour review and giveaway

The  long days of Summer have turned to cooler days. We are spending more time inside doing school work, relaxing  and filling the house with the fragrances of Autumn. Today I baked a  Carmel Apple Crisp Recipe from Gold Medal ® to take to a Family Reunion. I made two pans of it so we can have one at home. The apples baking with the sweet smell of Carmel on a cool, cloudy day feels like home. Starting in September Gold Medal ® White Whole Wheat Flour is now available in stores. The flour is made with hard white spring wheat, a whole grain, but it has a similar taste like white flour. The white whole wheat flour is perfect for baking breads, pizza dough, cookies, muffins and brownies. The flour bakes up golden and has a milder flavor than regular whole wheat flours used in baking.  Now that school bake sales and holiday baking approaching try the new White Whole Wheat Flour from Gold Medal ®. Giveaway Details: You have the chance to win this:  The winner will receive a VIP coupon good

The first day of school, the last day of Summer Decorations

On the first day of school, I have a tradition of putting away the Summer decorations and start getting out the Fall loot. I keep the decorations to Fall things, not Halloween just yet. Owls, acorns, and Autumn scented candles are residing on the tables and  leaf garland on the mantel. A Leaf patterned table runner is put in the middle of the dinning room table with a leaf pattern bowl waiting for some Halloween candy.    summer decorations packed away silver sea shells put away Fall leaves on the mantel owl candle holders candy corn and candles an empty bowl waiting for some apples dinning room table dinning room punched tin light

Wegmans Halloween Reusable Shopping bag

Last night while I was checking out at Wegmans Market I spotted their newest reusable shopping bag.  This Halloween bag will make a terrific trick or treat bag! Loading up your groceries is the idea, but you can also use the bags for gift giving bags, storage, taking food to the food pantry, and sending your kids back to college with treats from home. Remember to wipe or wash your reusable grocery bags often with an antibacterial cleaner to keep germs at bay. The Halloween bag is only 99 cents when you present your shoppers card. One year Wegmans offered a Christmas bag, keep your eye out for other holiday bags they might surprise us with.
