It's time to move our kids out of their dorm rooms for the year. Campus BellHops brings the strength to get the job done.

Tomorrow we will be moving my daughter home from her Freshman year at college. When we moved her in to her "Castle" because she really did live in a castle, the soccer team was there to ferry all her things to her third floor room. Living in a castle did not warrant an elevator or lift, and there are flights of stairs. Imagine Harry Potter's living quarters, and that gives a pretty good picture of where she lived this year.           How are we going to get all that stuff down three flights up zig zag stairs cases?   this is the main stair case, then it's two flights of these zig zag steps. It's a work out. Dad and she will have to figure that out. Better yet, we can have Campus BellHops do the work, yes Campus BellHops. Wish they were around when I went to college. I lived on the 8th floor of a dorm and the elevator was always broken.     Do you have a child heading off to college in the Fall? Maybe you already have one enrolled in college. I know with our first

Where are your clothes made? Perhaps a country you don't even know where it is or ever heard of.  Make a good decision and seek clothing made in your own country by your fellow neighbors!  If you like to buy American, but don't know where or what to buy, USA Love List can steer you in the right direction. Dinner time with Rose Romano's Italian Peppers, can you top that?

Tonight's dinner is all about Rose Romano's Italian Peppers. It's Thursday night, the hubby is home from a long business trip, one daughter is home from school, and I'll be cook and dishwasher, which means- I will load the dishwasher after dinner. So, what did we have for dinner with Rose Romano's Italian Peppers? I made Chicken Ricadi, a  recipe from the cookbook that accompanied the jars of Italian Peppers. There are  two types of  toppings, one with Marina and Red Bell Pepper, and one with Mariana and Green Bell Pepper.  The toppings are a creation to honor the Romano and Angotti families culture and cuisine brought from Italy to the United States. The product is all natural, and does not contain synthetic preservatives. It's fresh bell peppers simmered in Marina sauce, and we all gave it a thumbs up for taste and versatility. To find a store in your area that carries these delicious delicacy toppings visit their web site roseromanos.com.   Here you'll fi

It's that time of year again, and the ants come marching in. Keep them outside with Combat Ant Strips giveaway

Last week when we had a few warm days, I spotted ants on the kitchen floor. They always come in the back door somehow. I've been trying to keep the floor extra clean of crumbs but one crumb can draw them inside. I've tried a handful of home remedies to shoe them away. That just doesn't work in my house. Combat® ant strips attack the source and prevent the ants from coming back.    I put Combat® Ant killing Strips on the side of the counter by the door. Are you a fan of NCIS Los Angeles? You'd better enter to win The Original Soundtrack CD for your chance to sing along

NCIS Los Angeles earns a spot on my television line up viewing. I wouldn't call myself an avid TV viewer, but there are a few shows I like to clear the deck for, this is one of them. Why?  Chris O’Donnell, he is Irish, a good family man, and have been a fan of his since he played Robin in Bateman. LL COOL J and he are an awesome team to watch along with the rest of the cast. And how about that cute, but power packed Hetty! the cast of NCIS Los Angeles Have you ever watched a show without the volume, as in hit the mute button? It's not as exciting without the music. Right. I'll admit, if I am watching a really scary show, I turn the sound off, then it's not as scary. However for NCIS Los Angeles, I don't ever turn the sound down. It totally makes the show. My favorite track on this CD is Never Die by Daughtry. I liked him on American Idol and glad to see him doing so well. This CD has a nice variety of artists and songs.  LL COOL J and  Ne-Yo perform "No More&qu

Why I took the pledge to support moms:

Being a Mom is an on the job learning experience every single second. We have to pay attention because our kids grow up way to fast. I know we all have those long nights when we are all tired, and babies are crying, but the joy of watching our kids grow up healthy, happy, and loved is so worth lack of sleep, because we can always take a nap! My two girls are turning into young ladies, and young women. I home schooled them when others wondered why and how. It was our time to stay together and learn together. I never have regretted one day of homeschooling. By sixth grade I think we outgrew our school at home, and Dad and I enrolled them in a local Parochial School.  They were ready, they slide right into their appropriate grades and sailed through school with ease.     Maybe our families wondered how the girls learn all they needed to know. Maybe people wondered why we all out shopping while it was "school hours" Maybe their friends wondered why the girls got to stay home f

What does conservation mean to you? For me it's more than a text book with "Conservation" in the title.

When I was in college I took a lot of conservation classes for my major. I enjoyed learning about the earth, the people of the world, and conservation. I learned all kinds of facts and figures on how much natural resource people consume everyday, how much trash we generate, and ways to conserve natural resources. my books from college on our book shelf in our "library" room at home  At the time I was in college recycling was not really heard of for consumers. We did not have curb side recycling, we were not required to recycle anything, ever.  I took it upon my self to find a drop off place for glass, plastic, aluminum and paper that could be recycled from my parents house while I was still in college. I probably used more gas in the bigger than a yacht station wagon we had getting to the drop off site, but at least I felt I was doing my part. Now cars are more environmentally friendly, recycling is required, and conservation is a household word. Isnt' that wonderful! I
