Happy First Day of Spring! It's so nice to see the Spring bulbs emerging out of the ground and have warm sunny days. Although it is only March, the temperatures have been warm. Open the windows and let the winds of March clear out the stale air in your house!
Spring and cleaning are those two words that go hand in hand. I wish there was a season for clutter clean up! The kitchen area in our house seems to be the dumping ground for all things clutter.
Newspapers, magazines, mail, book bags, water bottles, and all those recyclable containers end up on the kitchen table or counter en route to somewhere.
Meal times usually involve some type of ingredient or food that comes in a can or bottle used in a recipe. Glass jars from the applesauce or spaghetti sauce, the can of soup someone had for lunch, or the plastic container of cream cheese someone finished off at breakfast all end up on the counter. It's like a collection area for the day's recyclables.
I used to keep a small trash can next to the larger kitchen trash can to toss the recyclable into, but it was kind of unsightly and whenever someone took it to the garage to empty into the curb side bin, the small trash can never makes it back to the kitchen. So then we are back to the recyclables scattered all over the counter.
But, not anymore! I installed the new and oh so cool Rubbermaid® Hidden Recycler.
This Hidden Recycler fits right inside you kitchen cupboard door. The Hidden Recycler can be installed with the over the door hooks or with screws.
What I like best about Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler:
Easy to install. Use the over the door hooks, or screws to attach to the door.
Easy to use, lift the lid, drop in the recyclables, close the lid. (counter clutter of bottles and cans-gone).
It's small, compact, yet holds many bottles, cans, glass jars, even the milk jug. (think 36, 12 ounce cans size)
The bag is machine washable. You can also wipe out the inside of the bag.
The bag has a leak-proof liner.
The bag is soft-sided, making it easy to fit in any cabinet.
The bag and packaging are made from recyclable material, and the product is recyclable.
The bag is made with 65% post consumer resin.
Easy to remove the bag and take to the garage to empty into the bin we place at the curb.
The bag has a carrying handle.
Use it in the kitchen or basement, bathroom, pool side, office, deck/patio.
It's made by Rubbermaid, one of my favorite brands.
As soon as I installed the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler, I said, why did someone think of this before! It is really cool and I definitely am going to get two more for the upstairs bathrooms.
From shampoo bottles to all the other girly products in our house there are always some type of thing to send to the garage recycle bin. Some of those shampoo bottles have leaked onto the carpet and leave a stain. Now I can put them in the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler and not worry about the leaks.
