Day 17 of USA in A Day: special pieces:
This is an easy find today! Around the time I was in college my Grandfather retired from his job and started making Early American style furniture. By the time I was married and had a house, I had a enough furniture to furnish a house. I think the only furniture we bought were beds, a few couches, and a dinning room table. From end tables to dish cupboards I have hand made furniture that my Grandfather made in his shop with wood from their family land in Pennsylvania.
This piece is called a linen press to store table clothes, and linen that was pressed and put away for the next special meal:

A walnut Dish cupboard, (that I need to clean out). Most of the items in here are glass ware from Ireland, dishes from Germany, and serving pieces made in USA:
I have 8 of these chairs that my Grandfather refinished and re-caned the seats.
The blue chairs next to the dish cupboard were old family chairs that my Grandfather refinished the wood Andy parents had them re-upholstered.
This dinning room table and chairs we bought, but was handmade by someone in Pennsylvania.
