How you can help fight Childhood Cancer #OneCupAtATime during National Lemonade Stand days June 6-8 2014

Ten years ago, Alexandra "Alex" Scott held a lemonade stand to raise money to find a cure for cancer, cancer that she had. Her life here on earth only lasted from January 18, 1996 to August 1, 2004. 

Since that first lemonade stand-Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation emerged and is now a national movement with thousands of supporters like you and I across the country. You can help bring awareness to Alex's Lemonade Stand this June 6-8,  2014 by holding your own Lemonade stand and/or donating to a stand event.  It's the 10th anniversary this year!

National Lemonade Days kits will be shipped to stand hosts in early May so sign up now. You can hold a Lemonade Stand any time of year, but the National stand days are June 6-8, so sign up now so you can get a kit sent to you and start inviting your community to support your Alex's Lemonade stand in person or online. 




How to get started with your Lemonade Stand:

  • Visit AlexsLemonade.org and click on "How to get involved"
  • Register your stand online.
  • A kit of materials will be sent to you to help you prepare and be ready for the day of your stand. (posters, balloons, and much more) Please note: some of the items may be for purchase only as shown in my sample kit, and are not included in the standard kit. 
  • Spread the word about your Lemonade Stand.
  • After your event, mail in your donations. (A guide is included in your kit with all the important info you'll need)
  • Checks should be made payable to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. 
  • You can also make a donation by text message (you'll need your event ID and text the word LEMONADE to 85944)  at your stand or if your guest can't make it let them know about easy ways to donate. 
  • Donations are tax-deductible. 



Where does the money go once you have sent it in?
Toward pediatric cancer research projects looking for better treatments and cures for all children with cancer.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation has funded over 375 research projects across North America.
