Book Review: It's in His Kiss by Jill Shalvis

This is my first read by author Jill Shalvis, It's in His Kiss and I found it to be a great story of finding one's way in a new town, following your heart in life, work, and romance. I plan on reading more of her books!

Set in Lucky Harbor on the Pacific Ocean, Becca Thorpe retreats here for a get away from her family and problems in her home town. She takes up residency in an old building next to Lucky Harbor Charter that offers fishing trips, scuba diving, and boat building. There are a few handsome men that run the charter.

Becca meet Sam-from Lucky Harbor Charter as she is looking for the address of her new rental. He's a bit short in conversation with her, but over time they get to know each other. She begins a new job as the office manager for the charter business. Organizing and helping the guys run the business she finds herself with and offer the town to teach music to the school children.

The relationship between Becca and Sam grows as does her relationship with the friendly warm towns people. Things are going her way, new job, new boyfriend, new friends, and then old family show up in Lucky Harbor.  The family she moved away from to be on her own. Now her brother and parents are in town asking her to return. Her brother Jase is needy and Becca has been taking care of him for so long she now wants her own life.

Will Becca stay in Lucky Harbor and let her family return home without her? Will Sam let that happen? I can't tell you that-but it's a great book to read!

The sun, the sand, the surf, the boats, the Pacific Ocean town of Lucky Harbor, the romance, the not-so-romance, and friends becoming Becca's family of friends.

Becca Thorpe has uprooted her life and escaped to the beach. Now’s her chance to get away from city living, throw caution to the ocean winds, and live in the moment. Especially if the moment includes the deliciously sexy surfer she meets shortly after arriving in Lucky Harbor.

Something about the dark intensity of Sam’s eyes and the thrill she gets at his touch convinces her to stay awhile. Boatbuilder and investment genius Sam Brody is a self-made man who knows how dangerous it can be to mix business and pleasure. But he can’t resist offering Becca a job just to hear her laugh and have her near. Yet when her brother comes to town asking for help, will he tempt her back to her glamorous life in the city? Or do Sam and little Lucky Harbor have a chance to win Becca’s heart?

Giveaway of New Soft Scrub® 4-in-1 Toliet Cleaner to three lucky winners.

Let's talk about cleaning toilets. Hmm, I'd rather not talk about that, or clean them. However, I don't want dirty toilets in our house, so I have to clean all three of them. I'd clean four or five because I really would like two downstairs bathrooms in my next house. We have one powder room on the first floor and two full baths upstairs.I'd like three full baths upstairs. Why in the world would I want to clean all that? Who knows, but having a product that can help out cleaning the three we currently have in my house is greatly appreciated. Soft Scrub ®  is honestly amazing me with their new and improved products. I've learned about them in the past few months from trying them out and writing reviews. My kitchen sink has never shined so much, the bathrooms are cleaner, and now Soft Scrub 4-in-1 Toilet Care is now here! It is new, it smells nice, and it is so easy to use. Just clip it on the side of the bowl, make sure it is in the flow of water when the toil

So, how's the dinner time prep going? The kids are back in school, and  then after school is sports, band practice. Do you have the taxi light on top your car on? Sound familiar? I can relate. Giveaway of Three Copies of Les Misérables on Blu Ray DVD combo Pack

You know that part of a DVD that prompts you to select play, scenes, bonus, set up while bits of the movie play? I did not get past that for several plays through the song "Do you hear the people sing" with  people of France waving their flag, and singing about they will not be slaves again.  The song is so moving, so powerful. It can stir up your the strength within your soul, it can remind you of the freedom of being an American, and it can bring you to tears of sadness, happiness, and joy. Now on to select play: I saw Les Misérables at the preview screening last year and was captivated, motionless in my seat. The DVD has the same effect. You'll be taken back to another place, another time. The cast is perfect, the singing is moving, and the scenery is real old world "Paris". As I watched Les Misérables it's a reminder to myself, a wake up call for us all to be humble, be better. To forgive each other, let go of our egos, help each other at times of need,
