Have you taken your Christmas tree down and out to the curb? I just took out the live greens I had in our house and took them to the curb. Don't you always feel like the holidays go by to fast?  I'm already thinking about next Christmas. Why? Because the sales are great now! Wal Mart sale yesterday -75% off, most of this stuff was around 25 to 50 cents!   These door covers were 25 cents. I bought three in each style. Great for you inside doors too, give to teachers, college kids, libraries, or give a set of them to your kids school, church or day care. I was waiting for these to go on sale: electric candles for the window. 98 cents a pack. (earlier I bought the candles that are battery operated with timers and they have a orange glow-I'll use those for October and November) Target's holiday merchandise was 75%  on my visit.  I bought a handful of gift bags for 90 cents each and tissue paper.  Each store has different stock...

Perhaps January should be name organizational month, maybe it already is, I don't know, sounds like a google moment.  Storage totes are stacked high in my basement, full of holiday decorations, old photographs, the kids artwork, keepsakes, and mementos. My husband says the same thing every time we happen to be in the basement at the same time. "I don't care how much stuff you have just get it in a tote. Totes, bins, or containers do lend a hand in neatness. Last year after Christmas I sorted, clean out, and label in detail my Christmas totes. I guess not good enough because I never  unpacked my snow flake decorations I put on the dining room chandelier or the kids stockings. I had a a few stockings I used for decoration so I used those for the kids this year. I'd rather not buy any more totes, because that means I bought more stuff. Or maybe it means I am more organized, yeah, it's that one, more organized. Here is a view from my shopping car...

The parades on Thanksgiving and Christmas are so fun!  We are usually traveling during those times to relatives, but I tune in until we have to load up the car. The Christmas Day parade is the best! It's so much fun to have the parade on the television, the kitchen full of people cooking and the kids opening their gifts.
