New in Toys! Review of SMITHSONIAN, WUBBLE, and ALL PRO PASSER brands.

Hello blog readers. I hope you are well and enjoying the Summer Season.   Our Summer has been busy with a beach trip with the Airstream, a camping trip, and visiting local attractions. On the days we are home and inside due to a much-needed rest day, I like to have a stash of new things the kids can enjoy.   We reviewed a bunch of new toys this Summer, starting with a science kit from Smithsonian. I like anything Smithsonian. My parents used to load up the family station wagon with my sister, brother, and I and head to the Smithsonian for breakfast, yep breakfast. It was a member perk. We rarely stayed to wander about the Institute because my mom was on a shopping mission to the greater Washington D.C. area best in clothing shopping, so now I can kind of re-live my childhood. The Smithsonian Mars Dig Science Kit  we opened up on one of those days the humidity was high, and the temperature was way over my comfort zone.  I give the Smithsonian Mars...

Put the NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible Gift Set For Girls on your holiday shopping list.

My family and I are in the process of moving out of the house we have lived in for 20 some years.   Imagine the amount of stuff we all accumulated over the years.  We had a wall of six book cases. One of the book cases was stocked with Bibles, related books of the Bible, Christianity, church, teachings, and history. I came across my own Children's Bible and my youth Bible.  We did pass along many of the books, but those two I kept.  My Bible is full of underlined pages, highlighted sentences, souvenir bookmarks, and little slips of paper with inspirational thoughts or Bible verses. My girls have several Bibles from Sunday School, Confirmation, Graduation, and gifts. I've never bought a Bible, they have always been gifted to me. I think that is the most thoughtful and best gift to give someone. As you prepare for the upcoming gift giving and receiving Holiday Season - Harper Collins Christmas Publishing offers a  NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible Gift Set Fo...

Hand Lettered Truth, 60 Inspiring verses from God's word, by Debbie Bratton

There are many of times a Bible verse is needed through out my day. I'll admit I'm not one that can recite Bible verses, book, chapter, and verse.  I mostly remember a verse from a hymn I've sung at church or Summer camp. I have my Grandmother's Bible, one of many in her house I'm sure, but it's the one I kept after her passing and cleaning out her home of many years with my Grandfather. Her Bible is not in a case, nor tabbed for each chapter. I'm ok with using her Bible for church services, but for my own reading, I look to supplemental books, like those with pictures, color, and larger print! Debbie Bratton's amazingly, beautiful, colorful, and gorgeous book: HAND LETTERED TRUTH 60 INSPIRING VERSES FROM GOD'S WORD The cover has a raised title that is smooth and somehow comforting when you hold it in your hand for reading or just as you sit quietly in thought. The pages are splendid. It's a gift to yourself or your loved one, or that h...
