Lent has begun, yesterday was Ash Wednesday. To Christians this might be a time of giving up something, skipping red meat on Friday or doing something out of the ordinary for good. This season in the church is also a good opportunity to learn more about the Bible, history, and ourselves. Starting Sunday March 5, 2017 at 9 PM Eastern Time on CNN: Season 2 of Finding Jesus: Faith, Fact, Forgery.  I watched Series 1 last year and so far this year I was able to watch the episode that will air on Sunday night. They are all God's creatures, but some I am not found of-at all. But I am going to be strong and show you about this book. You probably guessed by now one of my least favorite creatures is...   When I saw this book was available for review/giveaway, I was like no way do I want to review that book, it is about Snakes. The thing that made me say yes, was the illustration is absolutely amazing.  The illustrations are done by award winning artist Don Clark ,  who is also the cofounder of Invisible Creature, and a father. Sometimes it's easier to watch a video than write a intro, so here you go: (why is there a video to the book? The film will be in theaters Sept) There is nothing easy about this video-a man dies in a car crash. Don was a family man. He was married to Eva. He had three children. How will they cope with his death?  How will they be a family without him? How will the community that loves him so much deal with his absence? PRAYER FAITH HOPE LOVE At the scene of his accident a man prays for Don, who is thought to be dead. WAIT!!! Don is not dead. Did that prayer bring him back to life? I say yes! Do you believe you can do it? Has anyone ever said that to you? It's the motto of this father/son team.  In LITTLE BOY his dad asks him many times this question of "Do you believe you can do it?"  Answering yes allows his young son to grow in faith and love. Showing him courage, faith, and the belief that he can do anything. Anout the time the father is expected home the wife gets news he is missing at war during an attack. Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a press conference with Martha Williamson via telephone with fellow bloggers. I can tell you she is charming, graceful, and very pleasant. I could have listened to her for hours as she answered questions about the show and her faith.  How cool is it that her shows have regular people of faith, living regular lives that we can relate too. Plus, the shows are family oriented and you can watch without the "oh no" mute it quick reaction or "quick change the channel". My question to Martha was: Do any of the characters in Signed Sealed Delivered reflect persons in your life. Her answer was yes, each one reflects her or persons she knows. The stand out for me was: Oliver, he is like her Father who is deeply faithful, a gentleman, and prayed every morning looking out the window.  That reminded me of my Grandmother.
