Win a shirt from the NEW Christian musical " A WEEK AWAY" airing on Netflix March 26.

It's true! A new Christian Musical will be airing on Netflix March 26, 2021. " A WEEK AWAY " is a first of it's kind for Netflix. Watch the faith based musical starting 3/26/2021. Have a listen to the soundtrack  A great way to end the week and start the Spring Weekend. Like, who doesn't love camp. I sure do. My sister and I went to Church Camp often in our youth. We might have been young, and maybe homesick now and then, but the strength we gained in our faith has shaped our lives today.  In fact my husband I have a Summer Cottage at a Church Camp, we spend most of our Summer there year after year. I can't say our camp is as musical as  "A WEEK AWAY" , but faith is always present at the camps we attend.  In the film "A WEEK AWAY" a troubled teen faces juvinelle detention for his numerous bad doings...by grace he has a family that offers to take him to Summer Camp with them.   Will and Avery are the key characters. Along with camp "r...

THE WAY BACK movie night giveaway.

‘ The Way Back ’ will be in theaters beginning March 6, 2020. A thought from the film: We can't go back to the past, but we can move forward. I just happen to have two Fandango tickets to giveaway for this film   starring Ben Affleck, but first a bit about the film: Jack Cunningham (portrayed by Ben Affleck ) is struggling with addiction when a priest offers him the job of a basketball coach position at his (Jack's)  former high school.  Jack reluctantly accepts the job. During his coaching he finds a glimmer of hope for his future and a second chance to make his life positive. Did Jack play basketball in college? Professional? or did he take a different path after high school?  Mistakes, wrong turns, wrong crowds, and wrong decisions can weigh us down that keep us from grace. We become stuck, reluctant, and unable to move forward when the past is heavy on our soul. Move forward and don't sit in the past.   Find your peace. Find your faith ...

Get a first look at Season 2 of Finding Jesus: Faith, Fact, Forgery and enter for chance to win Lifeaway gift card.

Lent has begun, yesterday was Ash Wednesday. To Christians this might be a time of giving up something, skipping red meat on Friday or doing something out of the ordinary for good. This season in the church is also a good opportunity to learn more about the Bible, history, and ourselves. Starting Sunday March 5, 2017 at 9 PM Eastern Time on CNN: Season 2 of Finding Jesus: Faith, Fact, Forgery.  I watched Series 1 last year and so far this year I was able to watch the episode that will air on Sunday night. I gotta say I must not have paid great attention in Sunday School-or perhaps I just didn't remember so much as I absorbed  watching the show. It's about Doubting Thomas. I just always associate him with a children's Bible story and never gave much thought to what he was doubting about. Do you have doubts? What about? I think my doubt's lie with illness and getting older. When a loved one is ill I doubt they will get better, but I shouldn't doubt that-I don't kn...

Book Giveaway: The Biggest Story: How The Snake Crusher Brings Us Back To The Garden.

They are all God's creatures, but some I am not found of-at all. But I am going to be strong and show you about this book. You probably guessed by now one of my least favorite creatures is...   When I saw this book was available for review/giveaway, I was like no way do I want to review that book, it is about Snakes. The thing that made me say yes, was the illustration is absolutely amazing.  The illustrations are done by award winning artist Don Clark ,  who is also the cofounder of Invisible Creature, and a father. The book's story is written by Kevin DeYoung, best selling author, and father of six. The story begins with the Garden of Eden, to Christ's death on the Cross, to the new heaven and new earth. The book is wonderful to read to yourself, to your kids, and for independent readers.   A beautiful book for gift giving! About the book: Hardcover: 132 pages Publisher: Crossway (August 31, 2015) Children and parents can follow the Bible's core message and how ...

GIVEAWAY!!! The New York Times Best Seller book, 90 MINUTES IN HEAVEN

Sometimes it's easier to watch a video than write a intro, so here you go: (why is there a video to the book? The film will be in theaters Sept) There is nothing easy about this video-a man dies in a car crash. Don was a family man. He was married to Eva. He had three children. How will they cope with his death?  How will they be a family without him? How will the community that loves him so much deal with his absence? PRAYER FAITH HOPE LOVE At the scene of his accident a man prays for Don, who is thought to be dead. WAIT!!! Don is not dead. Did that prayer bring him back to life? I say yes! Through much healing and emotion he is better, but he is ready to die.  His will is weak and tired.  I love the part when the church is filled with people praying for him to be well. An entire congregation praying for him. That's the power of prayer! About the movie presented by Giving Films: Releases in theaters everywhere September 11, 2015 Rating: PG-13 (for intense accident and...

Pizza Ranch serves food for the soul with the new Living Hope CD

Summer nights, pizza, and a song... ready for some inspirational dinner music? Well, really anytime of the day is good for some back up, some faith, some hope. A time to be thankful, brave, and hopeful.  What does a pizza shop have to do with music? Sharing, caring, and growing in God's world by offering great food, great experiences at the restaurant, and now a CD that is pretty awesome for car rides, backyard barbecues, youth groups, picnics, gifts, and sharing. Pizza Ranch was created by Adrie Groeneweg in Hull, Iowa in 1981. He was 19 at the time and thought why do people have to drive out of town to get a pizza in his area?  With that idea six specialty pizzas were created by his mother , Lorraine and Pizza Ranch began selling pizza with a vision and mission to glorify God by positively impacting their guests.  Pizza Ranch recently released a CD titled LIVING HOPE . There are 12 songs from many of their favorite Christian artists. The CD contains new songs written f...

Signed Sealed Delivered sneak peak, plus giveaway of limited edition CD greeting card

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a press conference with Martha Williamson via telephone with fellow bloggers. I can tell you she is charming, graceful, and very pleasant. I could have listened to her for hours as she answered questions about the show and her faith.  How cool is it that her shows have regular people of faith, living regular lives that we can relate too. Plus, the shows are family oriented and you can watch without the "oh no" mute it quick reaction or "quick change the channel". My question to Martha was: Do any of the characters in Signed Sealed Delivered reflect persons in your life. Her answer was yes, each one reflects her or persons she knows. The stand out for me was: Oliver, he is like her Father who is deeply faithful, a gentleman, and prayed every morning looking out the window.  That reminded me of my Grandmother. Whenever I visited my Grandparents and it started to rain, she would look out her kitchen window and say "thank y...
