Somewhere around the time of middle school my Grandparents started taking my sister and I to church camps during our Summer Vacation. I don’t think we ever went to the same place twice for whatever reason, but each trip was an adventure and a long car ride...but it was so worth the week at camp. I loved church camp! The crafts, the mess hall with those long green tables, the swimming, the campfires, and campers to be friends with for the week.  During a college Summer break I landed a church camp counselor job in Connecticut. I love New England and this was a dream job.   The church camp story continues to this day, my husband and I bought a cottage at a church camp where his family had attended for generations.  My children have attend this camp since they were born, my second child went there when she was two months old. I love that my kids have grown up at this church camp and that I continue to grow spiritually and in friendships.  I miss my grandparents ...

Have you taken your Christmas tree down and out to the curb? I just took out the live greens I had in our house and took them to the curb. Don't you always feel like the holidays go by to fast?  I'm already thinking about next Christmas. Why? Because the sales are great now! Wal Mart sale yesterday -75% off, most of this stuff was around 25 to 50 cents!   These door covers were 25 cents. I bought three in each style. Great for you inside doors too, give to teachers, college kids, libraries, or give a set of them to your kids school, church or day care. I was waiting for these to go on sale: electric candles for the window. 98 cents a pack. My shopping trips to CVS and Target have been sparse the past two weeks. Summer activities seem to be keeping us busy!  I finally made it to Target today,  girls in tow. We found some good sales, and bonus packs of products.  This bonus pack of Bio True contact solution has a 2oz travel size bottle, free travel bag, and $45 in savings inside the box. My  youngest spotted this package. I used a $2.00 coupon off the sale price of $8.79. Crest toothpaste is on clearance for $2.44 and comes with a bonus travel size. I used a coupon for $1.00 off two packages.( I bought two) Kotex U packages are are on sale, these are $2.99 and have a wrist let, and tin inside with four liners inside. I used a $1.00 coupon. We woke up to snow today, and School!  It is Friday and I was wishing for a snow day but, I will be glad in June for less make up days due to snow.  It is  only January and the plant/seed catalogs are arriving in our mailbox.   By February/March  bulbs and some plants are emerging from the cold winter ground, even with snow on the ground.   Frangipani Flower Catalogs of Garden tools, planters, vegetable and flower treatments, and patio furniture are also arriving in our mailbox.   Last year one of my very favorite stores Smith and Hawken  closed their store doors.  It was always a great store to find good quality garden accessories, and gifts.   Several years ago Target started to sell selected items from Smith and Hawken and I figured once the store closed and Target sold all of its merchandise they had ordered from Smith and Hawken  that would be the end of the products.  But wait, I found a brochure in...
