It's Spring Cleaning Season so join Goodwill and "Donate Stuff. Create Jobs"

Spring cleaning is a great thought that I need to think more about. By Spring time I ready to get outside and not be inside cleaning, so I start my Spring Cleaning when it's cold and dreary outside. That doesn't necessarily mean I am done Spring Cleaning by the time the first day of Spring is here. I wish. We take stuff to Goodwill regularly. Once a month we donate clothing, household goods like the overflow of casserole dishes or utensils that are crammed in the drawers. I don't know who brings all this stuff into our house, but I bet it's me.  The last big haul I cleared out was a big garbage bag of sheets and pillow cases. Sheets from the kids college days that they changed their taste every year or just too many sets of sheets. Well, plus they were falling off the shelf onto the closet floor so instead of tyring to cram them back on the shelf, I donated several sets of bed sheets to Goodwill.  #7DaysofSpringCleaning Day 1) Clear your closet clutter Day 2) Time to ta...

Stuff falling out of your closets? Donate it to Goodwill to provide jobs, training, and community programs.

Is your closet overflowing? Is your garage packed to the ceiling? Does your basement look like a storage warehouse? Um, mine does. I'm taking advantage of the cooler weather and cleaning out extra stuff in my garage and donating it to my local Goodwill Store. I've found three locations of Goodwill Stores that I can donate stuff too. I ask for a tax receipt too. It takes just seconds to get a tax receipt once you have put in your name and address on your first visit. I also love to look around the store after I've donated my goods. The first place I shop is the housewares. Those old dishes and cookware are my favs, then I'm off to look at old Christmas decorations.  What's your favorite thing to look at in GoodWill? Do you donate to Goodwill? Our town even has a bin for recycling plastic bags that has the Goodwill logo on. How easy is that, get rid of your plastic bags to recycling, and help Goodwill too.
