Must-Have Marvin! The Shine Bright Kids series teaches kids the importance of making good choices, from the author of Can't-Wait Willow, Christy Ziglar.
This book is a 10x10 inches size with a really cool raised glittery title. The robot in Marvin's hand is also glittery. The illustrations are very colorful and done by Luanne Marten. The book is for children 4-8 years of age but of course you can read it yourself or read it to any age child. The Shine Bright Kids series is from Ideals Children's Books. My Mom and Grandmother always had Ideals books for the holidays and I loved to page through the beautiful pictures.
Did you know you can visit Ideals on Facebook and on their web site? Hippity Hoppity the Easter Bunny is on his way and Ideals books make the prefect gift for Easter Baskets and gifts. I just love the illustrations of the books. Ideals books for holidays are some of the best gifts too for Mother's day or any day.
Marvin is a bit of a collector of things. He wants a lot of stuff. That stuff gets in the way of his friendships. On each page there is a star the kids can follow through the book. Each page the star is in a different mood- you can see by the expression on his face. You can discus why the star is in that mood and talk about what Marvin should do to invest in his friendships not buying things. In the end Marvin realizes he only needs and want friends not all that stuff. Perhaps a good lesson for any age!
