Red or white? I lean to the white wine side, and my husband leans to the red, white, or what ever pairs well with the menu. Autumn feels like the time to relax from the Summer, slow down, enjoy the weekends of warm days and cool nights, and sip away exploring wine.
Brothers in law, Mark Aselstine and Matt Krause founded Uncorked Ventures where they carefully select wine from California, Oregon, and Washington and make available to purchase from their wine club, gift baskets, and wine gifts.
Their wine club offers three levels, Explorations, Special Selections, and Reserve Selections. Each shipment contains 2 to 3 bottles of wine. Plus as a wine club member there are other perks such as discounts or re-orders, newsletter, and special offers.
My wine club shipment contained two bottles of wine, a white-Yay for me, from BRAVIUM WINES, White Wedding. Located in San Francisco, on Treasure Island. A mix of Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc grapes that goes well with or without food. My choice is with cheese and table water crackers sitting around the fire pit with friends.
The second bottle of wine is a red, EASTON WINES, H House Red. Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes from the Sierra Foothills. We liked both wines for dinner time, or an after dinner glass of wine. I'm still going with the white though-I'll work on the red...
