The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is excited to offer two family programming options the weekend of April 11.

PNC GROW UP GREAT & THE ADVENTURES OF HAROLD & THE PURPLE CRAYON Bring the Arts to Life For Philadelphia Children

PNC Grow Up Great marks the third interactive session in the spring musical theater experience on Saturday, April 11 with a focus on Broadway Dancing in Commonwealth Plaza from 11a.m.

On Sunday, April 12 the kid-friendly theater adventure continues when Philadelphia’s own Enchantment Theatre Company brings The Adventures of Harold & the Purple Crayon to the Merriam Theater at 2 p.m.

A story time favorite for over 50 years, Enchantment Theatre’s The Adventures of Harold & the Purple Crayon is an innovative production based on the seven charming picture books by Crockett Johnson that follow the zany adventures of an inventive young boy. The visually dazzling production will take family audiences on a wild ride as Harold jets to Mars, joins a circus, and meets a princess in an enchanted garden.
