When Calls The Heart Season Premier is on Saturday April 25, 2015.
Tune into Hallmark Channel for the two hour event. It's a good one!

I have watched the season premier for this post, it's the first I have seen this show, and I'm hooked.

In the season premier,  Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow) is faced with new thoughts of staying in Coal Valley, or returning to her Thatcher family home in the city. She returns home due to her mother being ill and is reacquainted with her sisters and an old friend.  Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) accompanies her on the trip to visit with his brother. 

Abigail Stanton (Lori Loughlin) is keeping the cafe running and becoming fond of Mr. Avery as well. 

Coal Valley is trying to recover from the mine explosion and the death of so many of the men. There is a trial to hold the company accountable for the safety of the mine.









The setting of Coal Valley is a mining town, the costumes are beautiful, the men are strong, and the women are hard working. It's a simple life, but not without problems.

There is glamour in Elizabeth's life with her family wealth, yet she chooses to be a teacher in Coal Valley. Tune in April 25 to see the season premier and what's new in Coal Valley.




About the series:
The series is inspired by Janette Oke’s bestselling book series about the Canadian West. “When Calls the Heart” tells the captivating story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coal mining town where life is simple, but often fraught with challenges. Lori Loughlin plays Abigail Stanton, a wife and mother whose husband, the foreman of the mine, along with a dozen other miners, has just been killed in an explosion. The newly widowed women find their faith is tested when they must go to work in the mines to keep a roof over their heads. Elizabeth charms most everyone in Coal Valley, except Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) who believes Thatcher’s wealthy father has doomed the lawman’s career by insisting he be assigned in town to protect the shipping magnate’s daughter. Living in a turn of the century coal town, Elizabeth will have to learn the ways of the frontier if she wishes to thrive in the rural west on her own.
