The carnivals are arriving in towns as the school year comes to an end and Summer vacation begins. I still love to see the trailers full of neatly stacked pieces of carnival rides, traveling the highways, off to another town to set up and tear down one more time. That description reminds me of a song...   The memories of warm nights, bright lights, and all the thrills of flying through the sky on a wonder of rides is the highlight of many of Summer vacations. As it is for June . June, not the month, but the girl's name in Wonder Park, builds a roller coaster ride, but the ride comes to a stop when things get out of control and damage is done to the neighborhood. I gotta say her room is pretty darn cool looking. She has a great imagination and talent to dream big. We have a bin of Lego® Duplo® in our basement. I'm hoarding it. My daughter has outgrown the playful bricks and animals of safari, farm, and zoo-but I plan on keeping it, you know... for the memories, She created tall towers of Duplo®, taller than her little self. She would put penguins, lions, and various Lego® Duplo ® animals on tiers of the towers. There were farm lands, oceans of sea creatures, a zoo with the cutest monkeys, giraffes, and elephants. Each set had the appropriate workers to take care of the animal habitats, the race car, and the keepers of civilization. Going to church on Sunday is a given in my house. We go to church on weekday Holy days, days my parents were helping out with events, my mother was the first Flower Guild, and well, we spent a lot of time at church. That builds for a strong foundation in faith and family. My sister and I visited my Grandparents pretty often in our young childhood. And, Yes, we went to Church every Sunday. Dressed in our darling dresses, patent leather shoes, a dime in our purse wrapped in a linen hankie.  There were a few times my Grandmother did not go to church with my Grandfather, my sister, and I.  I always thought, wow that's so odd she's not going up to church. She was busy in her kitchen cooking and preparing a home grown and home cooked meal for my parents and the family when they came to pick us up later that day. The Volkswagen Beetle is a cute car in my opinion. I'm not thinking of buying one, but in fact we have had and have a few Volkswagen models in our family fleet. All the magic and thrills of the show under the big top tent are coming to the theater on Friday March 29, 2019 in Disney's DUMBO . Wild animals are trained to do spectacular tricks and leaps through the air. Super tall clowns walk around the ring while juggling colorful balls, then there is the talented people high up at the top of the ten walking on thin wires, hanging upside down, and amazing all of us that are watching. The film looks truly amazing with all the old fashioned glory of the circus and awe of the families watching the performances. If I were a member of the circus, I think I'd like to be, hmm, let me think about this a minute. I'm probably not going to sign up for the trapeze artists, or riding an animal while performing acts, maybe I'd go for the animal trainer. And I'm only basing that on the fact that we have a cat. How was your weekend? I went to the Philadelphia Flower Show on Saturday with my husband and youngest daughter. It was really fantastic, but so crowded. I was ready for a cold drink and lunch/dinner by the end of the afternoon. We headed to Whalburgers Restaurant in Philadelphia. You know, the famous Whalberg brothers, Donny, Paul, and Mark from their music, movies, television shows, and restaurants. And guess what-I watched a movie staring Mark Whalberg this weekend also. the mr. takes a selfie with the brothers at Whalburgers By Sunday night the hubs and I were ready for some living room time on the couch with a movie, I had been waiting a few days to watch a certain film, but thought I'd wait to the Mr. was available.
