Do you want to Dip or Squeeze? Review of the new Heinz Tomato Ketchup Package

  There is something pure and simple about Heinz Tomato Ketchup in a glass bottle. Maybe it is that home cooked feel of a local diner, my  childhood, or glass vs plastic bottle that makes me determined to keep that glass bottle in my refrigerator.  Heinz Tomato Ketchup in the Iconic glass bottle is  hard to find for sale for home use. As far as I know it is not available in the glass bottle for retail sale.  You can still find it in some restaurants.  I was able to it for sale at a wholesale store, and now it resides in my refrigerator!

The Heinz Company was founded in 1869 by Henry James Heinz in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania. The company has introduced the NEW Heinz Tomato Ketchup single serve packages, the first change in 40 years.  The new version is dual use; Dip and Squeeze (tm).

The  Dip and Squeeze package is bigger than the old version, holding 3 times more ketchup.  You can tear off the cap to "squeeze" out the ketchup, or you can "peel back" the seal for dipping.  To see more watch  You Tube , Follow them on Twitter, "Like" them on Facebook, (click the dip and squeeze tab).

    I'd rather squeeze then dip, besides it seems to be alot of packaging. New package is ez to open compared to packets.

    I love the glass bottles too! I remember my mom always buying the really big glass jug of Heinz for a family favorite recipe (I'll be sharing in the near future). Years ago, I was tickled to find small single serve glass bottles when we ordered room service at a hotel! They were just soooo cute!!!

    I think this is a great idea for the new packets! Those squeeze packets were fine for burgers and such, but to dip fries, I had to open way too many packets!

    Definitely a dipper. These are such a clever package. I do worry about the waste these packages will produce though. In that respect, seems best to go with the traditional glass bottle!

    Those packets look neat! I love the old glass bottles, too, but when my girls want to put ketchup on their plate by themselves, I'm happy with the plastic bottles!

    I remember well the small bottles. I used to buy it by the case when I worked for them during summer for the green season at the pickle plant in MI. I miss the glass bottles. they are hard to find.
