A few Saturdays ago we went to Coney Island for the New York Aquarium 23rd annual  Coney Island Sand Sculpting Contest .   Hosted by Astella Development Corp. and the Alliance for Coney Island. It was the prefect Summer Day and we had fun cruising the boardwalk and looking at the sand sculpting contest. Alliance for Coney Island is a nonprofit organization that is working to make Coney Island a year-round recreational oceanfront destination. Businesses, community organizations and residents are working together to make a better neighborhood for it's 50,000 residents and visitors. Coney Island attracts millions of visitors each year. After Hurricane Sandy, the alliance worked to bring relief to the residents and help Coney Island recover. At the end of the afternoon when dinner time rolls around I'm thinking grill and patio. This time of year is enjoyable outside for dinner on the patio, and then stay outside to enjoy the last of the Summer nights until bedtime or the mosquitoes come out. On Sunday night we made Kabobs on the grill. The chicken was marinated in a chipotle style dressing and the vegetables got a marinade of Bertolli® Olive Oil and a handful of spices.
